Crock Pot Vegetable Beef Soup
1 pound ground beef (venison or turkey would also work)
1 ½ cups cooked beans of your choice 1 can beans, rinsed and drained
28 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
12 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
3 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried onion
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon pepper
Brown ground meat in skillet. Drain. Add to 4 quart crock pot with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
(I used ground beef, and canned chili flavored beans and this was very tasty. Everyone loved it!)
Also I use homemade beef broth, I always save the broth from left over a cooked roast that I have cooked in another crockpot recipe and just use this broth in place of store bought broth. Saves money!

Simple Fried Apples Recipe
Ingredients
Apples
cinnamon
oil/butter
powder sugar
1/2 water
This is a simple little recipe which is great as a dessert or side for any meal.
It makes an especially good treat for Hanukkah!
I made this just for myself so its a recipe for one but its easy to adjust for others. I sliced and cored my apple (1). I didn't peel because there are so many nutrients in the skin I hate to cut it off. I do wash the apple with an organic cleaner. Then in the frying pan I put in two tablespoons of olive oil but you can use butter or Pam. Brown apples on both sides over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup of water and lid to steam apples until crunchy tender. Remove from stove and add cinnamon and powdered sugar to taste. Enjoy!
